The brief
Hartley & Co is a 12-person accountancy specialising in owner-managed businesses. Their existing site was a WordPress build from 2014 — slow, dated, and signalling 'sleepy high-street firm' rather than the sharp specialist they actually are. Younger founder-clients were going elsewhere, and the team was tired of explaining away the website on first calls.

Editorial layout inspired by The Economist and Pitchfork — generous typography, restrained palette, content-first.

Service categories restructured around client problems ('I'm starting a business' / 'I'm selling my business') rather than internal jargon.

Interactive Corporation Tax calculator — visitors enter turnover and get an instant estimate plus a CTA to a free 30-min consultation.
